Why this site exists
Planning an outdoor project usually means wading through cost articles that bury the number, push you toward a lead form, or quote a single figure that doesn't match your size, material, or state. We wanted the opposite: fast, interactive calculators that give you an honest range in seconds, show their work, and never ask you to sign up.
Every Cost My Yard calculator estimates 2026 cost by the things that actually move the price โ size, material, height or finish, and where you live โ and puts a do-it-yourself estimate next to a hire-a-pro one so you can see exactly what the labor is worth.
How we keep it honest
- We cross-reference several public price sources instead of trusting one, and we cite them.
- We publish ranges, never single guaranteed prices.
- We date our data and revise it quarterly.
- We don't sell leads or hide the answer behind a wall.
The full approach is on our methodology page.
Who we are
Cost My Yard is an independent project built by a small team that follows home-improvement pricing closely. We aren't a contractor, a lead broker, or affiliated with any brand named in our tools. Our only goal is to be the clearest cost estimate on the web for outdoor projects โ useful enough that you'd send it to a neighbor.
Found a number that looks off?
We'd genuinely like to know. Pricing varies and data ages โ if a figure doesn't match what you're seeing from local contractors, tell us on the contact page and we'll review it.
